Since I was five I have dreamed of being a pilot and a soldier. I achieved the latter nearly 8 years ago and instantly wanted to combine the two but had to wait for various requisites before I could apply. I finally applied and after two agonizing years of tests, medicals, grading courses and intelligence exams, not to mention last weeks interview which is the final hurdle. Yes, I passed and I start Flight Training on the 5th of September for the British Army Air Corps.
Another weekend away for my team and I and another success. This time we hit RAF Waddington for two full days and although no recruitment kit with us, it still proved a success by achieving more visitors than the Eurofighter Typhoon next to us! Lincoln was equally another success in the evenings with 'Walkabout' being our particular favourite. My mad dancing will be passed on in folklore from Father to Son...well maybe not but we had a good laugh.
A total of 8 hours sleep in 3 nights meant tiring days and the sun also took it's toll as you can see in the photo gallery!
